Talk by Ferenc Hörcher and Zoltán Turgonyi in Rome
Ferenc Hörcher and Zoltán Turgonyi are giving talks at the conference organized by Th Insitute of Philosophy of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and CISUECO at Università Roma Tre on 15-16 June, 2017. The title of their respective talks are: "La cultura politica di fare la pace. Il „messaggio” di Guglielmo Ferrero e István Bibó durante la seconda guerra mondiale" and "Un professore ungherese dell’Angelicum contro il capitalismo: il libro di Sándor Horváth OP sulla teoria tomista del diritto di proprietà". Collective volume: "In the shadow of the Great War. Contacts between Italy and Hungary: history, literature, culture"
A new collective volume has been published by the Institute of Philosophy of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences entitled "All'ombra della Grande Guerra. Incroci fra Italia e Ungheria: storia, letteratura, cultura" (In the shadow of the Great War. Contacts between Italy and Hungary: history, literature, culture) edited by Zoltán Turgonyi, senior researcher of the Institute of Philosophy (RCH HAS) and Roberto Ruspanti, professor of Università degli Studi di Udine, director of CISUECO (Interuniversity Research Centre of Hungarology and Central and Eastern-European Studies). The book contains the selected and edited papers of the conference organized in Budapest on 11-12 June 2015. The table of contents is available here. Members of the Institute of Philosophy Zoltán Frenyó, Ferenc Hörcher and Zoltán Turgonyi are among the authors of the volume. Paper by Ádám Tamás Tuboly
Ádám Tamás Tuboly's paper on "Carnap's Weltanschauung and the Jugendbewegung: the story of an omitted chapter" has been published in Friedrich Stadler's "Integrated History and Philosophy of Science: Problems, Perspectives, and Case Studies" (Vienna Circle Institute Yearbook, vol. 20. Springer 129-144) volume. The paper deals with the question that why did Carnap cut from his famous intellectual autobiography that chapter which describes his influential years in the so-called German Youth Movement (Jugendbewegung).
