I was studying Hungarian and German language and Literature on the University Loránd Eötvös in Budapest (1969-75). From 1983 I was working in the Georg Lukács Archives of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, my subject was the biographical background of Georg Lukács and his early writings, that means: the life in Hungary and in Germany on the beginning of the 20th century. Since 1990 I am research fellow in the Institute of Philosophy, 1995 I'we got the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in philosophy. My present plans are in connection with my earlier theme: I try to find a reason, an explanation for the grave problems between the generations at the fin the siecle in Hungary. Since the 70th I am also translating from German, mostly books about different domains of social sciences (philosophy, art, religion etc.). I can speak, read and write of course Hungarian and German, my English is not so good, but I like it and can use it in my researches. |
